Paddle Board Portugal

Are looking for things to do in Lisbon or Sesimbra? We want to share with you our passion for Stand Up Paddle and the hidden gem that is Portugal.

  • Great experience! We had such a great host and really explained the history of the city and really thought us about how to paddle board (which I had never done). He is such a easy teacher and make you at home and comfortable throughout the whole process. We enjoyed his vibe and knowledge so much we extended our time with him and did a city tour of some pretty cool areas and ate local cuisine. Well worth the time and money and he really allows the person(s) to decide on what they want to get into. I would highly recommend this experience for someone that is new to the area or season veteran to the area and wants to explore some interesting and unique places.
  • "Can we leave more than 5 stars??? Our SUP experience with Nate and Joana was one of, if not the best, part of our trip! We booked on a whim and thankfully Nate could not only fit us in, but also pick us up/drop us off in Lisbon. He was easily reachable via Airbnb messages, which made it easy to coordinate. He told us about his background with SUP, diving, etc (he's from Hawaii) and also pointed out interesting facts about the park and general area (which is stunning!) things we wouldn't have known otherwise. I've been paddling, my friend had not but Nate is an AMAZING instructor-she made it the whole way back standing! Nate boosted everyone's confidence, gave me more tips, and took fantastic pictures with his GoPro. I'd come back to Portugal for many reasons but mostly this! Thank you, Nate!!!"
  • Hands down THE BEST experience ever! I highly recommend booking this tour. My boyfriend was skeptical about doing this at first because we have both never done anything like this but after it was done he was thanking me for booking this. Nate is an awesome guy and teacher. It was a little rough standing up on the board so we sat and it was just as amazing and easy (so don’t let this scare you away if you don’t think you can do it) we booked the extended tour so Nate picked us up and dropped us off in Lisbon. We had coffee, water and a lesson then off we went! Had a picnic on a beautiful beach, went to Sesimbra to eat seafood (and snails... I like trying new things but I made Nate eat one first of course 🤣) walked to a few shops, went to a cave then walked Castelo De Sesimbra and saw some awesome views. He gives you other options as well if that doesn’t interest you. He is also very knowledgeable about Portugal and it’s history. I can’t write enough about this tour! I loved it.
